Profile
Dr Shalini Mohan is originally from Malaysia and obtained her medical degree, MBChB, from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Following graduation, she worked in Scotland for a year before relocating to Perth.
Shalini completed her Basic Physician Training in Perth and successfully completed her FRACP examinations in 2012. She then undertook Advanced Training in Endocrinology at Royal Perth Hospital, Fremantle Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, attaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017.
Shalini provides specialist endocrinology services to Great Southern patients through fortnightly telehealth clinics facilitated by Great Southern Specialist Centre. These consultations help improve access to specialist endocrine care across the region while reducing the need for patients to travel to Perth.
In addition to her telehealth service for Great Southern patients, Shalini also consults part time through her private practice at St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
Outside of medicine, Shalini enjoys travelling and has travelled extensively throughout Europe. She is married and has two sons who keep her on her toes.

Consultations fees will be advised at the time the appointment is made by our administration team.
Please be aware fees may vary depending on both the type and duration of the consultation.
Medicare rebates apply.
Discounted consultation fees for blue commonwealth concession card holders only.
Please note:
Patients do not need to have Private Health Insurance to see Specialists for consultations at the Great Southern Specialist Centre.
Private health insurance does not cover outpatient medical services which are partly covered by Medicare.
Payment Policy
The administration staff will be happy to advise you of the consultation fee upon booking an appointment over the telephone.
Payment on the day of consultation is appreciated and we are able to submit your account online to Medicare for immediate processing of your rebate.
