The GSSC has a specialised treatment room to support the services from a number of our specialists. The treatment room is currently equipped to support minor procedures that include:
- Vasectomy (Local Anaesthetic)
- Haemorroid banding
- Anal Skin tag removal
- Excisions of Lesions
- Excision of Ganglion
- Carpal Tunnel release
- Release of Trigger Finger
- Punch Biopsy
- Temporal Artery Biopsy
- Needle free Injection System
- Capsule Endoscopy
In addition to the procedure fee (may be eligible for a medicare rebate), you will be charged a Treatment Room fee. This facility fee covers the cost of the use of the room, instruments, consumable items and sterilisation costs. Additional and/or specialised consumables and equipment may also incur an additional fee.
This fee is payable on the day of the procedure. There is no Medicare rebate for the Treatment Room fee.
Pre-operative Support: Our practice nurse assists our patients in their lead up to scope procedures, will contact you prior to your scope procedure and provide guidance and support in dietary and bowel preparation requirements in the lead up to your procedure day
Treatment Room Procedures: Many of the procedures done are supported by our practice nurse if required.
Post Operative Care: Our post operative care also includes removal of stitches and standard wound management. Ongoing wound care by both nurse and/or Specialists will incur an additional fee.
