Will is Albany’s sole resident orthopaedic surgeon. He is a local graduate having completed his medical degree at UWA and then advanced training in orthopaedic surgery in Western Australia. Will then travelled around the world to gain further international experience before settling with his family in Albany.
He completed fellowship training in shoulder and sports knee surgery at the Santy FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Lyon, France. He spent 12 months in Montreal, Canada doing a fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery and a diploma in hip and knee joint reconstruction with the University of Montreal. He has also worked with top US surgeons doing paediatric surgery at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland and completing an AO trauma surgery fellowship in Nashville.
Will has a keen interest in orthopaedic research. He has over 40 peer reviewed publications in the orthopaedic literature. He has a Master’s degree in surgery from UWA and a Master’s degree in clinical trials from University of London.
Outside of work Will is kept busy at home with his growing family, his alpacas and sheep. He enjoys playing soccer with the local team, and exploring around the beautiful Great Southern coast.
